What is the purpose of the dirt collection bin in a robot vacuum cleaner? Generally, the container (or dust bin) is the component of the dirt storage system. During the cleaning cycle, the suction motor channels dust, hair, and debris through the brushes directly into this tank. An intact and clean tank is essential to prevent dust from returning to the environment.

Symptoms, what problems can you solve by replacing the tank
Question: Why does the robot indicate that the container is full even when it is empty?
Answer: Often, the sensors located on the tank are dirty or the integrated HEPA filter is clogged. If the problem persists after cleaning, the contacts or the tank sensor may be faulty.

Question: The tank no longer attaches properly, why?
Answer: The spring connection hook has likely broken or deformed. A tank that is not securely attached causes a loss of suction.

Experts recommend
To verify that the tank is indeed the problem, remove it from the robot and inspect it against the light: look for micro-cracks in the transparent plastic, especially near the corners or hinges. If you have a floor cleaning model, fill it with water, close the cap, and shake it gently over a sink to check for airtightness. Also, check for any debris lodged in the inlet that prevents the lid from sealing properly.
