Guide to spare parts: bases and supports for small appliances

What you will find in this collection

The term "base and support" encompasses very different structural and functional components, all sharing the purpose of positioning, securing or anchoring a part of the appliance. Below are the main groups present in this collection:

Blade holder base – Blenders Moulinex / Tefal PerfectMix (LM81, LM82, LM811), OnTheGo ActiMix; Braun MultiPractic
Charging base – Hand-held vacuums Black & Decker DustBuster (BHHV520), NVB215 / NVB220; H.Koenig PowerClean 25.9 V
Wall mount / base – Electric brooms Rowenta X-Pert 3.60 (RH6921–RH6983), XForce Flex 9.60 (RH20)
Bases and supports – Coffee machines De'Longhi Dedica (EC680–EC885), Specialista Arte (EC9155), Jovia (EDG250), Dolce Gusto Genio S (EDG226)
Bag holder support – Vacuum cleaners Rowenta Compacteo (RO1767–RO1795)
Silicone bowl base – Stand mixers Kenwood Cooking Chef, Major, KCC
Motor slide support – Pasta machines Ariete Pasta Roller / Pastamatic 1593
Brush holder support – Steam irons Rowenta / Tefal Ixeo Cube (QR20, QT20, UR19, UT20)
Tap slide support – Dispensers Krups TheSub (VB650, VB651)

How to choose the correct spare part

  1. Exact brand and model: bases and supports are almost always specific to a single series; check the model code on the appliance's label before purchasing.
  2. Function of the component: distinguish between internal structural support (e.g. blade holder base, motor slide), external anchoring support (e.g. wall base, charging base) and removable functional support (e.g. cup holders, tank housing).
  3. Material: ensure that the replacement part's material (ABS plastic, food-grade silicone, stainless steel) matches the original, especially for components in contact with food or hot surfaces.
  4. Original code: if visible on the component to be replaced or in the manual, it helps identify the exact spare part and reduces the risk of dimensional incompatibility.

Recommended maintenance

  • Clean the blade holder bases of blenders after each use: food residues that dry around the blade seat compromise the seal and accelerate the wear of the underlying gaskets.
  • Periodically check wall mounts for vacuum cleaners and hand-held vacuums: a loose fastening can cause the appliance to fall during charging.
  • For charging bases with electrical contacts (hand-held vacuums, brooms), keep the contact pins clean with a dry cloth; oxidation reduces charging efficiency.
  • Silicone base mats for stand mixers should be washed separately by hand: the dishwasher can deform them and reduce their grip on the work surface.
  • Check the capsule holder supports and cup holders of coffee machines: limescale build-up and coffee residues reduce stability and can scratch cups.

Common problems and solutions

Blade holder base leaking The gasket underneath the base is worn; first check the gasket and, if intact, replace the entire base with the sealing group.
Hand-held vacuum not charging on the base Oxidised contact pins or faulty charging base; clean the pins with a dry cloth and, if the problem persists, replace the charging base.
Wall support not holding the broom Broken clip or hook due to wear or accidental fall; the support needs to be replaced to avoid damage to the appliance and risk of falling.
Cracked cup holder or tank housing Fragile plastic due to aging or impacts; even a small crack can compromise stability; replace the component with an original one.

Quick FAQs

Is the Moulinex PerfectMix blade holder base compatible with all models in the series?

No: there are at least two variants of the base for the PerfectMix series, differentiated by the type of attachment to the jug (LM81/LM82 vs LM811/LM815). Always check your specific model code in the product sheet before purchasing.

Can I use a generic charging base for my hand-held vacuum?

It is not advisable: the geometry of the contact pins and the charging voltage vary between models. A non-original base may not charge correctly or damage the battery over time. Always use the specific base for your model.

Is the Kenwood silicone base mat dishwasher safe?

No: the heat and aggressive detergents of the dishwasher can deform the silicone and reduce its grip on the work surface. Hand washing with warm water and mild detergent is recommended, followed by air drying.
