Complete guide: PCB calibration for Rowenta GC713 GC712 GR712 grill pan

The PCB boards of Rowenta Optigrill grills require complete calibration during initial installation.
The guide on this page applies to the following models:
- GC713D40/79A
- GC713D40/79B*
- GC715D40/79A
- GC715D40/79B*
- GC712
- GR712
If you have just purchased the card for one of the models listed above and do not know how to proceed, follow these instructions, making sure to first perform the ‘Calibration’ step and then the ‘Test’ step:
Calibration
- Close the grill and plug it in.
- Press hamburger + fish + m simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- The steak indicator light will start flashing. Wait 3 seconds until it becomes a steady light.
- Open the grill completely, insert the thickness gauge, and close the grill.
- Open the grill completely, insert the thickness gauge and close the grill again.
- Press the steak button once. The indicator light will start flashing. Wait 3 seconds until the light stays on.
- Open the grill completely - remove the thickness gauge - close the grill again
- Unplug the appliance and wait 3 seconds
Test
- Close the grill and plug it in.
- Press hamburger + chicken + m simultaneously for 3 seconds.
- The cooking indicator light will come on and an acoustic signal will sound.
- Open the grill completely, insert the thickness gauge, and close the grill.
- After 3 seconds, it should beep and the cooking indicator light should change colour.
- Open the grill pan, wait 3 seconds, and the cooking indicator light should turn red.
- Remove the thickness gauge and close the grill pan.
- Press the power button until the indicator light changes colour and turns red again
- Unplug the appliance and wait 3 seconds
